Excited to share our AI-based Plate and Cup Detection & Counting project developed during our 10-day internship at St. John College of Engineering and Management.
Along with my teammates Anvit Shetty, Avaneet Singh, and Pragati Yadav, we built a real-time object detection system using YOLOv9t and deployed it through the YOLOvX mobile application for live inference.
The project focused on detecting and counting plates and cups in real time using custom-trained datasets, Roboflow annotation, OpenCV integration, and deployment with ONNX/TFLite formats. This experience helped us strengthen our skills in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, teamwork, and real-world AI deployment.
